At the beginning of February, we got hit with several polar vortexes in NYC. Two of my colleagues had volunteered a week in advance to let me do a quick practice shoot with them. What we did not know was that it was going to be 8 degrees outside with wind going at 20 mph+ the day of. IT WAS FREEZING!
One of my favorite views of the city is actually on the rooftop of my office building. I have been with an organization from the startup phase of working out of apartments to now, in a 12th floor NYC trendy office environment with windows that face the World Trade Center. The rooftop has an "in your face" view of the Empire State Building with it only being a few blocks away and an awe-inspiring one of the World Trade Center. I try to find an excuse to go up there whenever I can so a photo shoot was perfect....until we got up there on an 8 degree day with high winds.
But! We braved it anyway for a quick 10-15 minutes just to get a few shots. Huge thanks to some of THE most BEAUTIFUL women I know both inside and out. You guys are an absolute JOY to have in my life and I'm so incredibly grateful for you both to brave the weather with me!
