On this very last day of 2015, I am so incredibly humbled as I reflect on the last 364 days. At this time last year, I could not comprehend how many amazing people I was going to meet or even how many challenges I was going to face. I've been pushed professionally, personally, creatively outside of my comfort zone. And yet, I know deep down that all the events, feelings, emotions I've experienced was EXACTLY what I needed to make a shift in the right direction. I NEEDED this year to happen.
I'm grateful for all the wonderful families and couples that allowed me the opportunity to capture them in their most treasured moments; happy, sad, and sometimes their most vulnerable states. I've treasured every photo shoot, every exchange I've had with all. This was my very first year to put my dreams into action after 15+ years of being a "hobbyist photographer" and it has truly exceeded all of my expectations beyond my wildest imagination. What a difference a year makes!
As this year wraps up, it's hard not to think of some of my most favorite photos that have graced the blog. I've sent out thousands of photos this year to clients, but below are the ones that stand out in my mind.
There are so many people that have supported me and driven me to my accomplishments this year. Some who believed in me before I even believed in me! To those, you know who you are, and I am SO grateful for your continued support!
But there are truly two people who are the root of all of my success with or without the camera. They drive me everyday to be a better version of myself than the previous day. I can't wait to see where they take me in 2016! Happy New Year!
