My family and I have gotten to know this family well as little Sophie lives just two blocks from us. We joke that these two kids were an item when they were 8 months old as they made some MOVES. The romance between these two has since subsided and now they are great play buddies. We had no idea it started THAT young. It was actually pretty adorable to keep the love birds apart.
I had the honor to capture Sophie and her family on a cold Fall morning while walking through Fort Tryon Park in Manhattan. If you ever have the time, venture uptown to this park. I always get lost in it and it has the best views of the Hudson River. At the top of the hill sits The Cloisters which is part of the MET, a medieval building that actually hosts Manhattan's Renaissance Fair every year.
We enjoyed walking (hiking. It's steep!) up the hill and exploring what the woods had for us. I love capturing little ones since they have a ton of energy and their emotions are so authentic and genuine. She definitely made sure I got my workout in for the day. (Thanks Sophie! )
Lastly, anyone that knows Sophie knows that the next photo is a very common image when hanging out with her. She is one independent young lady.
